Description

Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
  • Call: One night of call per week and every seventh weekend
  • Floating: Required to float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas where qualified and competent
  • Medication System: Omnicell
  • Documentation System: EPIC (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) certification
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience with EPIC documentation system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Driver’s License: Must have valid driver’s license upon signing and carry ID while on duty
  • Background Checks:
    • 7-year background check within 12 months of start date
    • Includes SS trace, alias searches, state and county checks for all places lived/worked in last 7 years
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
    • Fingerprinting required if applicable (e.g., if lived/worked in WV in last 7 years)
  • Education Verification: Highest level of education must be verified; diplomas not accepted as placeholders
  • Health Documents:
    • Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
    • Negative TB test (True 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot) within 90 days of start
    • Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years if working in high-risk areas
    • Drug screening within 1 year and updated annually (5-panel minimum)
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by deadlines (not required for remote workers)
  • Fit Mask: Respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation

Certifications & Training

  • Must be current (cannot expire within 30 days of start) and from approved organizations:
    • ACLS (AHA or ARC, RQI acceptable)
    • BLS (AHA or ARC, RQI acceptable)
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify with unit):
    • PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, EFM, MAB or CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, Lactation Certificate (for Women’s RN roles)
  • Pass/Fail Testing: Medication and Arrhythmia tests required for RNs and certain tech roles; must pass with 84% or higher, two attempts allowed
  • Orientation:
    • Online Cornerstone modules (~12 hours) must be completed within 72 hours of assignment
    • 16 hours of non-billable orientation onsite

Competency & Compliance Exams

  • Annual completion of Core Parts I, II, and III training and exams (minimum 80% passing score)
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required annually
  • Color Blindness Testing required for certain emergency and lab roles

Additional Notes

  • Badge photo required prior to start (passport style, plain background, no alterations)
  • Floating policy must be signed and renewed annually
  • Resume/application must include a 7-year work history
  • Internal and performance evaluations required if employed over 1 year with the agency
  • Candidates must be prepared for timely completion of all required testing and documentation to avoid delays or cancellation

This position offers a structured day shift with a defined schedule and requires flexibility for floating. Candidates must meet strict compliance, certification, and health requirements to ensure readiness for the clinical environment.
