Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Newark, New Jersey
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide individualized, age-specific nursing care focused on IV Access within Radiology and Imaging Services.
- Responsibilities include insertion and management of IVs, midlines, and PICCs according to competency.
- Monitor for complications and respond appropriately.
- Maintain sterile technique and TIME OUT compliance.
- Ensure emergency equipment readiness.
- Review post-PICC chest x-rays per policy.
- Educate patients and families.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current IV Certification.
