EEG Tech Travel/Contract Job in Spokane, Washington
Job Details
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Work Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Patient Population: Inpatient and outpatient EEG studies for pediatric and adult patients
- Floating: Position floats between units within the facility
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
- On-call: Not required
- Charting System: Epic
- Parking: No fee
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of EEG Technologist experience within the last year
- Must hold a valid license appropriate for EEG Tech in Washington State
- Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation equivalent)
- BLS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation equivalent)
- PALS (AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation equivalent)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification from AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
- Epic experience required
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 and state-specific searches)
- Background Check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- E-Verify attestation required
- Education Verification (degree/diploma/transcript) required
- State-specific searches including Washington State Patrol Search and OBRA Registry Search (for CNAs only)
- Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start date
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work
- Fit Mask testing (respirator clearance) required annually for travel candidates
- Immunizations and screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months (annual update required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination documentation
Additional Requirements
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp) prior to start and annually thereafter
- Completion of Epic training modules as required by the facility
- Float Policy Acknowledgement: Candidate may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required prior to start
This position offers a travel contract opportunity for EEG Technologists with at least 1 year of experience, requiring flexibility to float between units and work every other weekend. Candidates must be proficient with Epic and meet comprehensive compliance, health, and certification requirements.
