Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Nights (Vascular and Neurosurgery)

Specialty & Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Vascular and Neurosurgery
- Abdominal transplant experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of prior travel experience required
Work Schedule
- Option of either:
- Four 10-hour shifts (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM), or
- Five 8-hour shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- No on-call requirement
- Overtime opportunities may be available depending on departmental needs
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Vascular Technologist experience
- NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Health & Safety Requirements
- N95 Respirator Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is required
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
- TB screening: documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Physician health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months
Background & Professional Checks
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, updated if break >6 months
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date, updated if break >6 months
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start date, updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start date, updated annually
- Social Security Number trace as part of criminal background check
- Education verification of highest level achieved (except CNA positions)
Submission Requirements
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the skillset
- Completed skills checklist within 1 year of submission
- Candidate submission coversheet (current version)
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form required upon acceptance and for extensions
Additional Notes
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing
- Fit testing cannot be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray (optional but recommended)
- Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation
