Job Opportunity: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Job Description
- Provide respiratory therapy services as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Work primarily on the respiratory unit during day shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Vaccination and Health Requirements
- Flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1 - March 31). Medical or religious exemptions require documentation and approval.
- Negative TB test (PPD, Tspot, or QGold) within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required.
- Adult TDAP vaccine required for certain units.
- Fit mask test within the last 12 months is mandatory.
- Negative 11-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B.
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year, confirming ability to meet physical demands.
Compliance and Documentation
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation required.
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification must be completed and updated as required.
- Completion of facility-specific documents and acknowledgements prior to start, including confidentiality agreements, code of ethics, dress code, infection control, and safety policies.
- Completion of orientation and competency exams as applicable (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, core competencies).
- Submission of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Completion of employment application and skills checklist.
- Vendor Access Request (VAR) form and facility background check through HireRight must be completed promptly.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must wear both agency and facility badges at all times.
- EPIC training modules may be required depending on assignment.
- Facility-specific policies on parking, chaperone, and information security must be reviewed and signed.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
