Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

• Work in a high-acuity hospital environment with 800 beds, including Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal ICU.
• Imaging department uses advanced equipment including GE radiology rooms, portable GE and Shiatzu units, C-arms (OEC), and O-arms (Medtronics).
• Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner Rad Net.
• Participate in diagnostic imaging, portable imaging, trauma imaging in the Emergency Department, fluoroscopic procedures, and surgical imaging.

Unit Information

• Location: 2nd floor, F tower, Imaging Diagnostic Radiology department.
• Staffing varies by shift:

  • Day shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
  • Evening shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
  • Night shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
• Weekend rotation required.
• Dress code: Black scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
• Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) Certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Candidates must undergo an evaluation to demonstrate their proficiency and knowledge as a Radiology Technologist

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fluoroscopic procedures.

• On-call duties may be required.
• Candidates without the required skills and certifications will not be considered.
• This is a travel assignment in a busy, technologically advanced hospital setting.
