Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit: PC2 Progressive Care (PCU)
Number of Beds: 345
Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 (varies by unit and shift)
Staff: Float pool of about 80 staff members, including RNs and CNAs on day and night shifts
EMR System: Meditech
Patient Population: Large cardiac population, including telemetry floors and PCU
Floating: Required to float to inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
Telemetry experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Strong telemetry experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
Chemotherapy certification (preferred, for potential scheduling on Oncology unit)
