Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)
  • Location: Charlotte, NC
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Patient Population: Pulmonary, general medical, patients with longer length of stay, trach patients, COPD, Asthma
  • Unit Procedures: Care for pulmonary patients including trachs, chest tubes, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP (no ventilators)
  • Unit Systems: EPIC, PYXIS, SBAR
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5:1 (can run 1 over grid to 6:1)
  • Floating: Required as needed within the service line
  • Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends every 6 weeks (total 6 weekend shifts)
  • Scheduling: Self-schedule initially, then balanced by leadership based on needs and RTO
  • Scrubs: Navy blue and white (any combination), scrubs not provided
  • Call Requirement: None
  • RTO (Return to Office) Policy: No RTO after booking; call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation or Do Not Rehire status
  • EKG Testing: Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
