Job Opportunity: Technologist (PET CT)
Location
- Leonardtown, Maryland

- 10-hour day shifts
- 40 hours per week
Job Summary
- Perform PET/CT imaging using GE Discovery PETCT equipment.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the imaging process.
- Interpret physician orders and select appropriate imaging parameters.
- Work across various settings including outpatient centers, mobile units, and hospital-based facilities.
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment and peripheral devices.
- Train new technologists and patient coordinators as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (minimum); Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Dual certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Computed Tomography Technologist through NMTCB or ARRT (NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT)).
- Dual state licensure in Maryland for both Nuclear Medicine and CT Technologist.
- Minimum of 1 year of PET/CT imaging experience.
- Valid state driver’s license as applicable.
- Ability to travel locally as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-screen patients for contraindications and follow aseptic injection techniques.
- Adhere to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation when handling radioactive materials.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
- Provide training and support to new staff.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging scanners and related equipment.
This position is ideal for experienced PET/CT technologists seeking a contract role with a focus on patient care, technical expertise, and flexibility across multiple clinical environments.
