Job Title

Registered Nurse – Ortho/Neuro Unit Days

Location

Janesville, Wisconsin

Employment Type

Contract (13 weeks)

Shift & Hours

Days: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
36 hours per week
Every other weekend and holiday required
12-hour shifts

Job Description

Provide patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
Document care according to standards.
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
Participate in unit or department performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity.
Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately.
May be required to float to other units.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
Experience in Orthopedics and Neurology nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
