CT/X-Ray Tech (Contract)

Location: Hermiston, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours per Week: 36


Job Summary

  • Perform diagnostic radiography and computed tomography (CT) procedures to produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
  • Prepare and position patients, operate radiographic and CT equipment, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Evaluate image quality and maintain proper documentation and identification.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with interventional and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Administer contrast media and medications as prescribed, following aseptic techniques and state regulations.
  • Provide patient education and initiate basic life support when necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of universal precautions and hospital policies.
  • May be floated to other qualified patient care departments as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon.
  • Registered CT Technologist with OBMI and ARRT credentials.
  • Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CRASE training (required if contract extends beyond 6 months).

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging specialty.

Additional Information

  • Must have completed CT skills check covering head, spine, chest, abdominal and pelvis anatomy, and safe contrast usage.
  • Participate in required education related to hospital accreditation programs.

This position requires professional judgment, adherence to medical ethics, and the ability to provide both physical and emotional support to patients during procedures.
