Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Location: Kremmling, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a brand new Critical Access Hospital located in the Colorado Rockies, near Rocky Mountain National Park and Winter Park Ski Area.
• Facility is Trauma Level IV.
• Preferred candidates have prior Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience.
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care in the Emergency Department from admission to discharge.
• Utilize accepted standards and protocols including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN).
• Focus on achieving patient outcomes through clinical pathways.

Schedule

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours long.
• 2 call shifts every 6 weeks.
• Holidays and on-call coverage required.
• Some coverage may be needed in nearby towns (Granby or Kremmling).

Housing

• Shared housing may be available based on capacity with a reduced rate.
• No smoking, no pets, and no families or partners allowed in housing.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
