Description

Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Summary

Provide nursing care in a long-term care setting, assisting with day-to-day nursing activities. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and families promptly
Complete resident assessments and medication administration following the 5 Rights
Perform wound care and assessments as needed
Assist CNAs with call light responses
Monitor residents for changes in condition and act as a floor leader by assessing and directing situations
Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to appropriate leadership
Maintain accurate and thorough resident records and charting
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
Minimum of 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience within the last year
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Shift Details

Week 1: Saturday & Sunday 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Wednesday 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Thursday 9:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Week 2: Saturday & Sunday 6:00 AM – 10:30 PM, Wednesday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Friday 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

This position offers a varied schedule covering afternoon, evening, and night shifts every weekend.
