Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical – Long-Term Assignment

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Shift: 12-hour day/night rotating
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide safe, competent, and individualized nursing care for medical/surgical patients.
• Interpret medical care plans and assess patients’ clinical conditions.
• Monitor, record, and report patient symptoms, vital signs, and medication reactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and conditions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient reports and records.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 3 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of nursing principles and skills for practical patient care.
• Understanding of age-specific care requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.

Notes

• No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position.
• Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test (optional but recommended).
• Fit testing cannot be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start.
• All credential verifications and health requirements must be current and compliant before onboarding.
