Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Operating Room

Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Number of beds: 1
Number of staff: 3 (including OR Registered Nurses and OR Surgical Technologists)
Shift hours:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night Shift: 7:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Patient ratio: 1:1
Equipment: Cardiovascular OR specialized equipment
Documentation system: Meditech
Call requirements:
- Weekend call (Friday, Saturday, Sunday): 24-hour coverage
- Weekday call (Monday-Friday): after 3 PM

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABGs)
Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
Thoracotomy
Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
Pacemaker implantation
Tracheostomy (TRACH)
Maze procedure

Additional Information

Coverage may include three hospitals at times
Scrubs are provided in the OR

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist experience, including experience within the last year

Approximately 36 hours per week
