Radiation Therapist (Oncology) – Temp – Des Moines, IA
Job Details
- Employment Type: Temporary
- Location: Des Moines, Iowa
- Shift: Days
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36-40 hours/week; overtime billable after 40 hours
- Work Environment: Oncology radiation therapy department with advanced technology and multidisciplinary team approach
Equipment & Technology
- TrueBeam, Halcyon, TrueBeam Edge
- Treatment types: SRS, SRT, SBRT, VMAT, 3D, Electrons, HyperArc (no total skin or total body treatments)
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC (required)
- ARIA/Eclipse experience (highly preferred)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Iowa
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification with "T - Radiation Therapy" discipline
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel experience highly preferred
- Experience with ARIA/Eclipse software
- Experience with TrueBeam, Halcyon, TrueBeam Edge equipment
Additional Information
- Orientation date provided
- Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply
- On-call and charge/precept pay available
- Black scrubs required
- Patient volume: approximately 80 patients per day
- Team includes radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists
