Description
Endoscopy Technician (Full-Time) - Contract
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Day shift, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Job Summary
- Prepare and sterilize rooms and endoscopic equipment before and after procedures
- Support physicians and registered nurses during procedures
- Verify equipment functionality and perform safety checks
- Maintain and repair endoscopic equipment as needed
- Collect and deliver specimens while maintaining sterile field
- Assist with patient intake, transport, paperwork, and documentation of physician observations
- Place monitoring devices on patients (e.g., blood pressure cuffs, cardiac electrodes, pulse oximeters)
- Provide information about equipment during in-service training sessions
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain and refresh professional skills
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience as an Endoscopy Technician, with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate degree in Medical Assisting or Surgical Technology, or equivalent experience in an Endoscopy Technician role
