Description

Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a home health setting within Transylvania County/Brevard, NC.
Patient load typically 5-6 patients per day.
Documentation system used: HCHB.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shifts.
Uniform: Navy blue or navy/white scrubs required.
Must have a reliable vehicle for patient visits.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting certification
Successful completion of Home Health Nurse Exam
Completion of Home Health Nurse Skills Checklist
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Proven experience working in a Home Health setting

Additional Information

The unit serves approximately 100 patients.
Home health nursing experience is critical for success in this role.
Therapy positions require home health experience but are not part of this RN role.
Dress code for therapy staff is business casual; for nursing, navy or navy/white scrubs.
Candidates should be prepared to follow unit-specific policies and guidelines.
