Description

Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Asheville, North Carolina (Franklin/Macon County area)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide nursing care in a home health setting with patient ratios of approximately 5-6 patients per day.
Call requirements: every 6-7 weeks for one week at night (5pm-8am) including that weekend. No night visits are made from the office.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
Documentation system used: HCHB.
Must have a reliable vehicle for patient visits.

Unit Information

Patient population: Home health patients, including hospice care.
Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability.
Dress code: Nursing scrubs in navy blue or navy/white.
Experience preferred: Home health and hospice experience for nursing.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of experience in Home Health nursing, including experience within the last year
Hospice nursing experience
BLS certification
HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in Healthcare Setting
Successful completion of Home Health Nurse Exam
Valid Driver's License

Additional Notes

Candidates should be prepared to work independently in a home health environment.
The position offers exposure to a patient-focused home health care setting with a supportive team.
