Job Opportunity: Endoscopy/GI Tech
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: Four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating call
Hours per Week: 38 hours
Job Description
- Assist nursing staff and physicians during endoscopic procedures, including polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations.
- Efficiently operate and troubleshoot endoscopic equipment.
- Disinfect and process endoscopic instruments.
- Set up procedure rooms and stock supplies and equipment.
- Transport patients as needed.
- Assist patients with dressing and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
- Apply EKG monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Colorado Surgical Tech Registration (CST) — must be active prior to submission.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy technician experience, including experience within the last year.
