Description

Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Liberal, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40


Job Description

  • Perform radiology X-ray and CT imaging or C-Arm procedures.
  • Must be able to work independently in CT (CT registry not required).
  • On-call duties with rotating weekends and varied days.
  • Position is a backfill role.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Kansas (can submit application with license pending).
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
  • ARRT Radiology (ARRT-Rad) certification required.
  • Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
  • Must have proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted).
  • Complete employment application/resume required.

Certifications & Competencies

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification as required.
  • Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC) as applicable based on unit assignment.
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
  • Competency exams required.

Background & Health Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 30 days of start; must cover all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually.
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start (may be completed onsite if necessary).
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual updates required.
  • Immunizations or titers required for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation or approved exemption required during flu season.
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start plus urine drug screen on first day.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID) required and must be carried during work hours.
  • Social Security card required.
  • I9 attestation and E-Verify proof required.
  • Facility-specific forms including emergency data sheet, ethical concern form, authorization to release information, standards of behavior, and COVID-19 exemption/accommodation forms must be signed prior to start.
  • Routine COVID-19 testing protocols apply based on community transmission levels.

Additional Information

  • On-site drug screen required on first day.
  • Routine testing of unvaccinated staff for COVID-19 based on community transmission levels.
  • Must comply with facility-specific safety and orientation manuals.
  • Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the facility for over 1 year.

This position requires a dedicated CT Tech with radiology experience, appropriate licensure, and certifications, ready to work a full-time day shift with on-call and weekend rotation responsibilities.
