Registered Nurse (ICU / Step-Down ICU) - Rockford, IL

Step-Down ICU (floating required)

Job Description

Provide nursing care in ICU and Step-Down ICU units.
Must have strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
Document care according to standards.
Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units to support patient care continuity.
Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care Float experience, including within the last year
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
Stepdown experience
BLS certification
ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is required.
