Description
MRI Technologist
Location: York, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: Three 13-hour day shifts per week (Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, 6:30 am to 7:00 pm) with possible variable shifts based on census
Job Description
- Provide care appropriate to patients of all ages, including geriatric, pediatric, and general populations
- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members
- Perform MRI procedures, including protocol development and execution
- Screen patients for contraindications and follow safety requirements per ACR and facility protocols
- Educate patients about MRI procedures and address their concerns with tact and courtesy
- Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout procedures
- Operate MRI and related equipment necessary for patient care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and report equipment status
- Assist with inventory monitoring
- Perform other related duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Associate's degree or certificate earned from a two-year college, university, or specialized certificate program
Additional Information
- Holidays are covered by call and may require assistance
- Proper completion of timecards is mandatory for processing
