Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU Travel Position

Location: Draper, Utah
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Beds: 11 bays, 6 Operating Rooms (ORs)
• Staff: Typically 1 RN per OR; varies with surgery schedule
• Shift for Traveler: Varies between 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: Standard PACU equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Epic
• On-Call Requirements: 4 call shifts per 4-week period

  • Call shifts are either 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirements: Only on-call shifts; ORs are closed on weekends

• Orthopedic
• Gynecology (GYN)
• Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
• General Surgery

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• At least 1 year of experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• At least 1 year of experience in Emergency Department (ED)/Emergency Room (ER)
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs, hospital-issued
• Call coverage Monday through Friday (7 PM – 7 AM) and weekends (7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM)
• ORs are closed on weekends; only on-call coverage required during weekends
