Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry)

Location: Media, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

• Med/Surg Telemetry RN with patient ratios of 1:5
• Patient diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, cellulitis, hospice care, post-op abdominal and OB/GYN surgery, UTI, colitis, small bowel obstruction, and other common med/surg conditions
• Acute care facility with 230 staffed beds
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Floating within scope to like units required
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Locals accepted (within 75 miles) but at a different rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• BLS certification required

Certifications (if applicable/preferred)

• ACLS preferred but not required
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred for telemetry units

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including criminal, SSN trace, education verification, and federal exclusions screening required
• Education verification (diploma, degree, or transcripts) required
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Facility-specific modules and confidentiality agreement must be completed prior to start
• Proof of car insurance required if applicable (home health not applicable here)

Notes

• On-call is not required
• Guaranteed hours for the contract duration
• Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions are at manager’s discretion

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs comfortable with acute care patients and working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.
