Description
Job Opportunity: RN - Care Management
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Schedule:
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (40 hours total)
- Day shift (AM)
- Every 6th weekend as needed
- No major holidays required
Job Description
- Manage a caseload of 18-22 patients using a collaborative process to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate health services.
- Focus on promoting quality, cost-effective outcomes and efficient resource utilization.
- Manage length of stay (LOS) and determine medical necessity and appropriateness of admissions using InterQual screening and inpatient lists from Medicare.
- Utilize strong communication skills and available resources to meet patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 3 years of Case Management experience, including experience within the last year
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Knowledge of benefits and eligibility requirements
