Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele (Night Shift)

Location

Chesapeake, Virginia
Near Virginia Beach and Norfolk, VA

Employment Type

Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

Night shift
4x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 7:30)
Overtime after 48 hours
Option to indicate preference for 3x12 or 4x12 shifts
Every other weekend, float, and holidays included within contract

Unit and Patient Care

MedSurg Telemetry / Neurology / Stroke unit
Patient ratio: 1:7
Must have experience working with neurology/stroke patients

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
Experience with neurology and stroke patients
Prior travel nursing experience
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system
