Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Hermitage, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM)

Unit Overview

• Unit: Women’s / NICU
• Beds: 24 LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) and 10 NICU beds
• Patient Ratios:

  • Labor/Delivery: 1:1 to 1:2
  • Postpartum: 1:4
  • Well Infants: 1:4
  • NICU: 1:2 to 1:3
• Staffing includes RNs, Unit Coordinators, Patient Care Technicians, and Lactation Consultants
• Equipment: Fetal Monitoring, Alaris IV Pumps
• Documentation System: CPN
• Floating Policy: No floating required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

• Patient care involves labor, delivery, and postpartum care with a focus on fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation
• Dress code requires black and hot pink uniform colors
• The unit does not require floating to other departments
• The environment includes experienced staff and use of current technology and equipment
