Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Main Operating Room with 13 ORs
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Staffing includes RNs, Surgical Techs, Support Staff, Board Runners
- Equipment used: Stryker Ortho Systems, Stryker Lap Towers, DIV Xi Robots (x2), MAKO Navigation, OMNI Navigation
- Documentation system: MEDITECH
- Scheduling: Call shifts, 4-5 per 4 weeks, weekend rotation, no fixed schedule but reasonable
- Floating required if ORs are shut down (internal first, then external assistance)
- Dress code: Scrubs provided by facility
- Parking garage with no fees, cafeteria available, sterile processing on same floor
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Orthopedics experience, including major joint replacements
- Urology experience (open and cystoscopy procedures)
- Must be punctual, dedicated, a team player with a positive attitude
- Adherence to AORN guidelines required
Procedures Performed
- All surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eye surgeries
