Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Surgery
Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

- Acute-care hospital with 345 beds
- Only cardiac surgery program, neurosurgery program, and pediatric intensive care unit in the area
- Houses Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Centers

Unit Specifics – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Number of beds: 403
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Staffing: RN plus 2 techs per room
- Equipment: DaVinci Robot XI
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating policy: General OR
- Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 year of cardiac nursing experience
- Operating Room (OR) experience
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Skills & Procedures
- Cardiac experience required
- Advanced skills for procedures including:
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
- Valve replacements
- TAVARS (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Surgery)
- TEVARS (Transcatheter Endovascular Aortic Repair Surgery)
- Robotic lung surgeries
- VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery)
- Thoracotomies
