Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Neonatal ICU


Location

  • Savannah, Georgia
  • Level I Trauma Center and only children’s hospital in the region
  • Coastal city with rich history and cultural attractions

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Travel Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  • Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Shift: Evening (7 PM), 12-hour shifts
  • Documentation System: Epic
  • Dress Code: Hunter Green uniform

Unit & Equipment

  • Patient Population: Neonatal and Pediatric ICU critical care patients
  • Equipment Used:
    • Servo U ventilator
    • Drager VN500
    • F&P Bubble CPAP
    • High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)
    • High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV)
    • Vaportherm
    • Heliox therapy (invasive and non-invasive)
    • BiPAP and CPAP for non-invasive ventilation
    • Use of nitric oxide therapy

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
  • Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license/certification for Georgia
  • Certifications:
    • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Experience working with Neonatal and Pediatric patients in critical care settings
  • Proficient in managing ventilated pediatric patients and neonatal-specific respiratory therapies including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide therapy, heliox therapy, and high-frequency ventilation modalities
