Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable Shift, Monday-Friday
Hours per Week: 40

Job Summary

• Perform general nuclear medicine examinations, including therapeutic procedures and PET/CT patient exams in an acute care hospital environment.
• Provide on-call services as needed.
• Assist Radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures.
• Conduct nuclear medicine quality control measures.
• Complete documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
• Verify orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of nuclear medicine exams.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to hospital quality indicators.
• Handle administration, receipt/return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Montana.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Schedule and Work Requirements

• Regular and sustained attendance is required.
• May require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
• On-call availability may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Additional Information

• Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
