Description

Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), floating and call required
Hours per week: 36


Job Description

  • Provide general medical-surgical inpatient nursing care.
  • Patient ratio typically 1:6.
  • Occasional care of non-critical pediatric patients on the floor.
  • Floating and call duties required; call only occurs for census flex prior to scheduled shifts if census is low.
  • EMR system used: MedHost.
  • Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
  • Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if specified in the submission.
  • No 48-hour guarantees.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico.
  • Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprinting (fingerprints required for all travelers).

Additional Information

  • This is a travel nursing position.
  • Candidates must be submitted only if the agency is registered with New Mexico for fingerprinting due to processing time.
  • No on-call schedule for Med-Surg except for census flex call prior to shifts.
