Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | 4 Days x 10 Hours | Days (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM) | Onsite | Projected Start: July 27, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Apply and document the full nursing process — assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation — for surgical patients across specialties including Orthopedic, General, Podiatry, GYN/OB (including C-Sections), Pain Management, Urology, and Endoscopy.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and management on nursing problems and interpretation of policies to ensure patient needs are met.
• Practice the five rights of medication administration and maintain clinical competency to provide direct and safe patient care.
• Act as a patient advocate, including family members in care planning while respecting patient confidentiality, cultural beliefs, and religious values.
• Participate in hospital and departmental quality activities and adhere to organizational customer service standards.
• Utilize chain of command appropriately to resolve issues and demonstrate accountability for actions, behaviors, and decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License in the state of New Mexico required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
• ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
• PALS certification required (American Heart Association only).
• CPI certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Operating Room or surgical nursing specialty.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Ability to speak additional languages is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with patients and families of varying ages and cultural backgrounds.
