Description
ICU Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Burn ICU
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Float required
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) required
- Option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week
- Unit responsibilities include wound care, pain management, line placement, and assisting with intubation
- Charting system: Epic
- Local candidates within 75 miles radius are not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Prior travel experience required
- Certifications (must have current and in hand):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID
- E-Verify compliance (for direct hires)
- Background checks including:
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start date
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Education verification (highest level)
- Fingerprinting required for certain locations (not applicable here)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years (no declinations except approved medical exemptions)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented chickenpox history
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Annual unit-specific skills checklist
- 7-year work history verification
Additional Information
- Must be able to meet competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as required
- Clear headshot photo required for badge
- Orientation safety manual and HIPAA acknowledgement required
- No local candidates accepted within 75 miles radius
