Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology (IR) (Days)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a 9-bed Interventional Radiology unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3.
• Patient types include pre- and post-operative vascular and interventional radiology cases.
• Typical workweek: 36-40 hours; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
• Orientation dates available: July 27, August 3, August 10.
• EMR system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Minimum 2.5 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year
• Pre- and post-operative/recovery experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Valid Driver’s License

Additional Information

• Night shift not applicable; this position is days only.
• Call back and on-call pay policies apply but are not detailed here.
• Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the hospital system from working travel in other markets within 12 months under certain conditions.

Summary

This is a temporary day-shift RN position in Interventional Radiology requiring strong vascular/IR lab experience, EPIC proficiency, and BLS certification.
