Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology (IR) (Days)
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a 9-bed Interventional Radiology unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3.
- Patient types include pre- and post-operative vascular and interventional radiology cases.
- Typical workweek: 36-40 hours; overtime billable after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
- Orientation dates available: July 27, August 3, August 10.
- EMR system used: EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Interventional Radiology (2.5 years of experience)
- Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Pre & post op/recovery experience
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- Experience with Epic
Additional Information
- Night shift not applicable; this position is days only.
- Call back and on-call pay policies apply but are not detailed here.
- Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the hospital system from working travel in other markets within 12 months under certain conditions.
- Clinical interview pre-screening will be conducted via phone call/text from a 405 area code.
Summary
This is a temporary day-shift RN position in Interventional Radiology requiring strong vascular/IR lab experience, EPIC proficiency, and BLS certification. The role involves working in a small unit with specialized patient care and includes holiday work requirements. First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply.
