Description
Job Opportunity: OR RN
Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Work Schedule
- 5 to 8-hour day shifts with variable start times
- Includes call shifts on nights, weekends, and holidays
- No Return to Origin (RTO)
Housing
- Shared housing available (no guests or pets allowed)
- Must have own transportation
- Housing agreement required only if moving into shared housing
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current RN license valid in Massachusetts (no conditional licenses accepted)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Primary source verification of license and certifications required within 30 days of start date
- NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing licenses
Required Health & Safety Compliance
- Flu vaccine required
- N95 Respirator Fit Test within 365 days of start date (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
- Documentation of MMR immunity (vaccines or blood titer)
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
- Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 365 days of start date
- Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation (optional but recommended)
Background & Screening Requirements
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, including county and international residence/travel history for last 7 years
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date
- Social Security Number trace for last 7 years addresses
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start date
- Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days prior to start date
- Education verification of highest level completed (not required for CNA)
- Two professional references within last 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the skillset
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
Submission Requirements
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Candidate submission coversheet (current version)
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for any extensions
- MGB Beeline attestation completed after registration
Additional Notes
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing
- Fit test updates can be done onsite only if assignment is extended beyond original contract
- Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
