Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (Travel Assignment)
Location: Plano, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Operating Room
- Number of Beds: 23
- Number of Staff: 85+
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- EMR System: Meditech
- Department staffed 24/7 with call required
- Shift Lengths: 10 and 12 hour shifts
- Dress Code: Scrubs in ceil blue or royal blue for nurses
Typical Procedures
- Neuro / Spine surgeries
- Orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and revisions
- Robotic surgeries (gynecology, colorectal, thoracic, urology)
- Plastic surgeries
- Level 1 Trauma cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Experience in Orthopedics, Plastics, and Trauma
