Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)

- Wichita, Kansas

Unit Information
- Emergency Department with 52 beds
- Staff per shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod
- Patient ratios: Average 3:1, low acuity 5:1, pediatrics use team nursing
- Equipment: Alaris infusion pumps
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech / CPN
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Experience traveling to large facilities or metropolitan areas

- Fast-paced emergency room setting
- Staff are diverse and adaptable; ability to learn quickly is important
- High emphasis on patient experience
- Medication scanning required for every administration
Schedule & Hours
- Approximately 36 hours per week
This role is ideal for experienced Emergency Department RNs who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have strong acute care skills, especially in pediatric and adult emergency nursing.
