Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location
- Richmond, Virginia

- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit type: Respiratory Therapy
- Number of beds: 340
- Number of staff on unit: 25
- Shift staffing: Day shift (3-4 staff), Night shift (3 staff)
- Patient load: Approximately 20-25 treatments per round
- Equipment used: Oxygen, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, blood gas machines
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EXPANSE
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- NBRC certification
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
Work Schedule and Attire
- Typical workweek: 36 hours
- Rotating weekends and on-call duties required
- Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
Typical Procedures Performed
- Nebulizer treatments
- BIPAP/CPAP management
- Ventilator management
- Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists seeking a travel assignment in a busy hospital setting with a strong ICU focus.
