Description

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Reston, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab (9-bed pre and post area, currently one cath lab)
Staffing: 5 to 6 staff per day (3 staff for elective cases)
Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 2 RCIS, 3 to 4 nurses
Night Shift: Not open
Equipment: Mac Lab and Philips C-arm
EMR System: CPOE
Typical Procedures: Heart catheterizations and pacemaker insertions

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification

Work Schedule

Hours per week: 36
Dress Code: Scrubs provided by hospital

Candidates without the required RCIS skills and certifications will not be considered.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
