Description
Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - General (Days)
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must be able to work independently and precept others; proficiency in precepting must be noted in profile.
- Call availability is mandatory; candidates unwilling to take call will not be considered.
- 10 or 12-hour shifts other than the specified day shift are not available.
- Unit size: 8 beds
- Dress code: Facility-provided scrubs
- Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
- Holiday and overtime multipliers apply.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of current Certified Surgical Tech (CST) experience (non-negotiable).
- Experience required in the following procedure areas:
- General Surgery
- Gynecology
- Vascular
- Thoracic
- Orthopedics (including total joints)
- Neurosurgery (head and spine)
- Trauma
- Must be able to precept others (required).
- Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
- Must have own vehicle (firm requirement).
Preferred Experience
- Experience with C-sections, ENT, plastics, and DaVinci Robot procedures.
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system is highly preferred.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Active National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification (NCCT not accepted).
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
References & Profile Requirements
- Two recent supervisory signed references (from within the past two years) are required and non-negotiable.
- Agency/employer must verify all references in the candidate’s profile prior to submission.

- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
