Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Assignment
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Must work 2 weekend shifts per month (with a weekday off following each weekend shift)
Job Description
- Provide Occupational Therapy services in an inpatient rehab and acute hospital setting, including neuro and orthopedic patient evaluations and treatments.
- Patient populations include neuro, ortho, telemetry, and ICU units.
- Documentation system used: Meditech.
- Floating to other units as needed is required (floating policy to be discussed during interview).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas (no temporary licenses allowed).
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience in a Rehabilitation setting.
- BLS certification.
- OTR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in rehab and/or acute hospital settings.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Certifications in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) or brain injury rehabilitation.
Unit and Facility Guidelines
- Start time no later than 8:00 AM.
- Dress code:
- Scrubs: Sage green/olive scrub top, black scrub pants, sage green scrub jacket.
- Undershirts: White or black only.
- Personal appearance:
- Nails must be clean and healthy.
- Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors.
- Facial hair (beards, mustaches, sideburns) must be clean and neatly trimmed.
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; uncovered tattoos will be addressed individually.
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.

- Floating policy applies; travelers must be prepared to float to other units as needed.
- Attendance policies and floating guidelines must be acknowledged and followed.
