Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Details
- Type: Nursing home attached to hospital
- Beds/Residents: 70 (majority private)
- EMR System: ECS
- Patient Population: Dementia, frail elderly, rehabilitation
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:
- RNs: 1:20
- LPNs: 1:20
- CNAs: 1:8
- Interdisciplinary Team includes Therapy, Administration, Social Workers, Activities, Dietary, Housekeeping
- On-site Resources:
- Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
- Pharmacy with medication dispensing system
- Telemetry monitors: No
Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Block schedule; 4 nurses and 7 aides during day/pm shifts, 2 nurses and 3-4 aides at night
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Must be available for at least half of the holidays during the assignment
- Call/Standby: No on-call required
- Floating: Required
- Dress Code: Any solid color, clean and professional
- Orientation: Varies based on skills
Responsibilities
- Charting and assessments
- Charge nurse duties
- Medication administration
- Clinical skills including IVs, catheters, ostomy care
- Experience with elderly patient care required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Long Term Care (1 year of experience)
- Long Term Care experience within the last year
Additional Notes
- Must indicate if previously worked for this facility; if yes, last assignment must have ended at least 6 months prior to submission
- All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
