Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Job Overview
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours or 4x12 hours
- Weekly hours: 36
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (2 years of experience)
- Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
- NBRC
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Advanced NRP
- PALS
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
Assignment Details
- Will work with RRT-NICU, PICU, and CVICU pediatric patients
- May float to Shaker Children’s Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU
- Contract length: 12 weeks
Compliance / Onboarding
- Two fingerprinting steps are required, including onsite fingerprinting before start
- Pre-employment physical within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 6 months of start
- Fit mask required within 12 months of start
- Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start
- Unit-specific skills checklist required
- Online training modules must be completed before orientation
- Badge pickup is required before start
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried while on assignment
