Description
Crit Care: ICU Neurology
Job Overview
- Contract role
- 12-hour day or night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend rotation
- Every other holiday
- No on-call
- Schedule is set in 6-week increments
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Neuro ICU (4 years of experience)
- Neuro ICU experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Setting
- Neuro ICU with mixed neurocritical and non-neuro ICU overflow patients
- Typical patient ratio: 1:1-2, with 1:3 for mixed acuity
- Floating may include ED holding, other ICUs, a medical-surgical unit, sitter coverage, and PACU surge

- CNA support
- Charge RN support
- Critical care NP coverage

- Telemetry monitoring at bedside and at the nurse’s station
Orientation
- Facility and unit orientation provided
- 1 shift of unit orientation
Additional Details
- Free parking
- Solid-color scrubs only, with no graphics, logos, or designs
- Fatigue policy limits staff to 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
