Nuclear Medicine Tech

Job Overview

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8 day shift, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
  • Patient population: Adults to geriatrics

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Maryland
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
  • ARRT (N)
  • ARRT (R)
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NMTCB

Unit Details

  • Nuclear stress tests
  • HIDA scans
  • VQ scans
  • Biliary studies
  • Lymph injections
  • Amyloid studies

Work Expectations

  • Holidays required as scheduled
  • Floating required within the specialty, other units, and sister facilities within scope
  • Every other weekend required
  • Weekday on-call coverage twice per week, 4:00 PM–10:00 PM
  • Weekend on-call coverage every other weekend, either Saturday or Sunday

Screening and Compliance

  • Two supervisory references required
  • Employment application/resume must be completed within 30 days of start
  • Previous 7 years of employment verification required
  • Background check required
  • Maryland state exclusions list search required within 30 days of start
  • Drug screen required within 30 days of start
  • Physical exam required within 1 year of start
  • Respiratory protection questionnaire required
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required prior to start
  • TB screening required
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and tetanus/Tdap documentation required
  • Photo for badge required
  • Confidentiality and facility-specific onboarding documents required prior to start
