Required Qualifications

• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of ICU experience
• 1 year of travel experience
• Cerner experience
• Must be proficient in rhythm interpretation
• Must have previously worked for Marshfield only if there is an end date at least 6 months before submission

Schedule

• Self-scheduling is allowed, but final scheduling is based on unit needs
• Every other weekend or every third weekend, depending on schedule needs
• Every other holiday, or more if willing and able

Unit Details

• 16 beds
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2, with 1:1 for higher-acuity patients
• Common patient types include respiratory, stroke, neuro, GI, and cardiac cases
• Nurses titrate drips, including ICU drips, propofol, precedex, and vasopressors
• Respiratory therapy support is available 24/7
• Tele/monitor techs are not used; nurses read their own strips
• One nursing assistant supports the unit

Work Expectations

• Floating is expected to like units or as a patient observer within the hospital
• No call or standby requirement
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility

Orientation

• 1 day of hospital orientation
• 2 days of unit orientation

Additional Notes

• Clean, professional attire is required
• Local candidates within 80 miles are subject to a reduced client rate
