Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Shift Details

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
• Must work at least every other holiday

Job Description

• Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse with potential to float to related units including Emergency Department
• Care for the same patient population across units

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1.5 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (e.g., Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including:

  • FCRA compliant 7-year search (SSN trace, counties, states, nationwide, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS Level 3, education verification)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monthly checks
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months, updated annually (must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to safely perform job functions (latex allergy notification required if applicable)
• Fit mask test (3M N95 1860 or 1870+) within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine every 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B vaccination/titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer with booster if needed
  • Annual flu vaccination (no declinations accepted; medical/religious exemptions require approval)
• Drug screening: Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)
• Snellen eye exam within 1 year of start

Orientation & Training

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Modules include mandatory training videos and tests; skipping videos will lock candidate out
• SafeMedicate and ECG competency exams during orientation with required passing scores
• Photo for badge (headshot, shoulders up, white background) if applicable

References & Work History

• Two professional references from employment within the last year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
• Employment application must include at least 3 years prior work history with 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area

Additional Notes

• Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Travelers must be prepared to float to related units as needed
• Prior travel experience is accepted but not explicitly required
• Candidates must comply with all health and safety documentation and certifications before and during assignment
