Description

Cath Lab Tech

Overview

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Schedule

Shift: 4x10 days, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
Hours per week: 40
Call: 1 night per week
Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every other month
Float: As needed
Scheduling type: Self-scheduling

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in North Carolina
Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience
ACLS
BLS

Key Clinical Skills

Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
Cardiac stent placement
Diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
IABP placement/removal
Impella insertion
Left and right heart catheterization
PCI
Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
Rotablator atherectomy
Scrub procedures in the cardiac cath lab
Procedural sedation administration/monitoring
Cardioversion
Circulate procedures
Sheath removal/monitoring
Starting and maintaining IVs
ACT monitoring
Dysrhythmia interpretation/management
Infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE

Preferred Experience

Pre/post procedure
Special procedures
Structural heart procedures
Vascular scrub procedures
Endovascular interventions
Vascular closure systems
Radiation and laser safety
Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG

Local candidates are accepted
Scrubs are provided
Unit orientation is 24 hours
